Library

The Library is the landing page of the EON-XR application. The Library presents a compilation of categorized EON-XR Xperiences in the current institute. Xperiences are represented as cards with thumbnail and name.

  • Select img-supportbutton to take a Quick tour of the EON-XR Platform

  • Select img-toggleoption to display 3D and 360 Xperiences

  • Type a keyword in the search field to find specific EON-XR Xperience(s) and playlist(s)

  • Select All Categories or a single category to filter Xperiences based on categories

  • Select a Sort by criteria to sort the Xperiences and playlists based on your selection: Editor’s Choice, Name, Date, and View

Quick tour

You can use the img-supportbutton to take a quick tour around EON-XR. The tour gives a short interaction to:

  1. Library - Access to all the published XR Xperiences and playlists available for your institute

  2. My Workspace - Dashboard listing the Xperiences, assets, and playlists created by institute users

  3. Create - Enables you to create Xperiences using existing or imported assets

Xperiences

In EON-XR, there are two Xperience types in which you can access learning activities and self-evaluation:

  • 3D Xperiences : an object-based interaction, exploring 3D object(s).

  • 360 Xperiences : an environment-based interaction, exploring the surroundings of connected 360° captured scenes.

Published 3D and 360 Xperiences are available in the library for your institute. You can filter on Xperience type, category, and name.

  1. Each Xperience has a thumbnail, Xperience name, and number of views

    • Icons indicate certain Xperience properties, such as multi mesh, animations, and 1:1 scale

    • Select the ⋮ menu to save the Xperience to a playlist img-playlistlibrary

  2. Select Xperience thumbnail or the Xperience name to visit the Xperience page

    • In the Xperience page you can view or edit the Xperience details, play the Xperience, or launch the Xperience in VR

    • For 3D Xperiences, you can also start meeting

Playlists

A playlist consists of a compilation of multiple Xperiences creating a course. A playlist can contain both 3D and 360 Xperiences from the same institute. You can select a playlist to view, edit the playlist details, and play the Xperiences.

Playlists are indicated by img-playlistlibrary and displays the number of included Xperiences.

Save to playlist

Xperiences included in your institute can be saved to a playlist:

  1. Select the ⋮ menu for the Xperience you want to save to a playlist

  2. Select Save to playlist and select a playlist to save the Xperience to

    • You can select either an existing playlist or create a new playlist

  3. Select Add to playlist to add the Xperience

  1. A confirmation message is displayed. If the Xperience is already added to the playlist, a message stating “Already in playlist” is displayed instead

Categories

Each Xperience and playlist in EON-XR is mapped to a specific category within the institute. The categories are defined and customized by the institute admins.

The Library page of your institute displays a list of categories. There are two types of categories: parent categories and subcategories.

All categories

Select All Categories to display all the published XR Xperiences and playlists

Categories

  1. Select a category from the list

  2. All the XR Xperiences and playlists mapped to the selected category are displayed

Subcategories

  1. Select img-pluscategory by a parent category to display subcategories

  2. Select a subcategory

  3. The Xperiences and playlists assigned to the subcategory are displayed

  4. Select img-minuscategory to hide the subcategories of a parent category

Sort

Xperiences and playlists in the library page can be sorted accordingly for more relevance.

Select the same sort option again to sort in descending order, instead of ascending order.

You can sort Xperiences and playlists based on the following options:

  • Editor’s choice - Xperiences and playlists selected by the institute admin

  • Date - sort by publishing date

  • views - sort by number of views

  • Name - sort by name in alphabetical order
