This article lists available functionality and Limitations when using EON-XR on head-mounted device (HMD).

With EON-XR on HMD you can explore Xperiences in immersive 3D using the VR menu and HMD controllers.

Note

EON-XR on HMD is only accessible in Play mode. To edit or create Xperiences, start EON-XR on mobile device or desktop.

Note

You can use One-time passcode to sign-in to EON-XR on HMD, and optionally, change between your institutes.

VR menu

In the VR menu you can access the following options:

  • img-scaling Scaling : show or hide the scaling pane to resize the 3D object

  • img-aportal Activity portal : show or hide activity portal

  • img-annot Annotations : view descriptions and knowledge portals attached to object parts

  • img-hmdhome Home : open the home menu

  • img-explo Explode : break apart the 3D object

  • img-xray X-Ray : view the inner details of the 3D object

  • img-ani Animation : play animations associated with the 3D object

  • img-11 1:1 scale : view the 3D object in real scale

Note

This option is only available if real scale is enabled for the object in the Asset editor.

  • img-background Background : select the 3D environment background

  • img-slicer Slicer : show or hide the slicer grid

In the home menu you can browse and select Xperiences available in your current institute.

Slicer grid

You can slice to explore the inside of the 3D object:

  1. Point to the slicer grid

  2. Press and hold R3 to grab the slicer grid

Hint

Depending on your device, the placement of the R3 button may vary.

  1. Adjust slicer grid forward and backward to slice the object as desired

Hint

You can rotate and resize the 3D object to adjust how the object is sliced.

Note

The slicing function is only available for EON-XR on HMD.

Limitations

  • The hierarchy tree view is not visible, but you can traverse through the object hierarchy

  • You cannot access your workspace

  • It is not possible to move the object up or down in the 3D environment
