Feature description¶
Metaverse Builder¶
AI Persona¶
To change to a different AI persona, switch to the AI Persona tab and select one of the characters in the list. If you want to create your own persona, select the Custom one and type in a prompt for this character. This text will be inserted into each prompt that is sent to AI.
URL Knowledge Portal¶
- To create a Knowledge portal that opens a web link in an external web browser:
Create an annotation or select an existing one.
Select + to add a new Knowledge portal.
In the Knowledge portal editor, select URL tab.
Set the URL to point to the web site you want to open.
Set the Link Text to describe the web site. This text will be displayed as a hyperlink on the Knowledge portal.
Suggested model list in Create experience¶
During the Create experience, at the point where it’s time to choose a 3D model or image to represent your Xperience, we are now utilizing AI to generate a list of suitable names you can use as search words in the Asset dialog. Just tap on one or more of these names in the list and select Next to continue.
Multi-anchor support¶
When creating a geo-located AR experienced with persistent anchor using the AI assistant, if the items you annotate are spread out over a large area, the precision and stability on the anchored position of those annotations that are far away from the initial anchor will quickly degrade. To solve this, it’s now possible to create multiple persistent anchors throughout the area, to support this use case.
This means that if you are trying to create another annotation that is more than 3 meters from the last anchor point, the AI Assistant will automatically prompt you to carry out the process of creating a new persistent anchor point, before you can continue adding the annotation. Note that you can skip this but the precision will be degraded for this new annotation.
Flexible multi-object procedure¶
While creating a multi-object procedure experience with the AI assistant, you can now assign the 3D models to the list of equipment in any order you like.
Just tap on those items you want to assign and choose a 3d model or image. Select next to start generating the procedure. The items that you have not added to the scene will still be mentioned in the presentation, but the AI assistant will not be able to point to them.
All production editions¶
Flat hierarchy model interaction¶
If your 3D model has multiple hierarchical levels, by default you cannot grab and move a part that sits in the lower levels, unless you move down to that level by double tapping on the model to change the hierarchy. However, in this release, we have added a new option in the Xperience Settings called Grab at any level, which when turned on, will allow you to grab and move any part in the model, regardless which hierarchy level it belongs to.
This setting is available in both edit and play mode, where the grab button is available.
Enhanced Video Knowledge Portal Editor¶
In the Video Knowledge Portal editor, in addition to choosing Youtube videos, you can now also upload and embed a video from your local device, or provide a remote link to a video file on Internet. This feature has been available on Touch mode, now you can do the same in AR mode as well.
Expanded long annotations¶
If you have an annotation text that is too long to fit into the annotation label, it will be truncated with elipsis. Now there is a button on the annotation label to allow you to see the full, non-truncated text.
