EON Interact enhancements

The Interaction zone edit tools are replaced with the Interact portal. The Interact portal is used when adding, removing, and previewing interactions.

With the Interact portal you can access an overview of all your interactions and triggers.

EON Illuminate enhancements

When creating geolocated Xperiences with the EON Illuminate add-on you can now create persistent annotations. The persistent annotations let you memorize annotations to a position in the real world, that is not attached to a 3D object.

Note

Creating persistent anchor in a Xperience requires at least one 3D object. Creating persistent annotation requires a mobile device with support for LiDAR (on iOS), or Depth API (on Android).

  1. Follow the instructions to Create persistent objects

  2. Select + and Add annotation

  3. Set the annotation point, update label, and add the desired media

  4. When viewing the Xperience in Play mode, persistent annotations are shown when you point to memorized positions in the real world

EON Universal enhancements

EON Universal is updated with:

1:1 real scale

  • Support for 1:1 scale. The users can alternate between model scale or 1:1 scale (real scale).

  • When using 1:1 scale for the first time, the avatar position set in the Authoring Tool is used as start position.

Scale tool:

  • Added reset option.

  • Added scale tool for Xperiences created with EON Metaverse Builder.

Slicer tool:

  • Updated orientation of slicer grid to face the user, so that the interior of the uncut part is visible. Previously, the slicer grid appeared in a fixed orientation.

Publishing options for Xperiences

When you exit the EON Metaverse Builder Xperience in create mode or edit mode you can now access publishing options. The publishing options lets you specify who can view and access your Xperience:

  • Private - Only you and the people you specify can view the experience. This is the default option.

  • Public - Shared to the EON XR library as a free Xperience. Only available in the XR Library institute.

  • Sell on Marketplace - Share to the marketplace as a paid Xperience. With this option you also set the price. Requires permission to publish to market.

Improved 3D Avatar features

The 3D avatar is updated with support for additional avatar details, such as avatar gender.

When you create your avatar you can now set the avatar as AI Assistant or 3D Avatar.

Note

You can create one avatar to use as your AI Assistant, and create another to use as your own 3D Avatar.
