Edit Xperience

You can open 3D or 360 Xperiences in edit mode to make changes to existing Xperience content.

  1. Select Edit img-edit in the Xperience page

  2. Depending on Xperience type, this opens the authoring tool for 3D Xperience, 360 Xperience, or Metaverse Builder

    Note

    Different functionality is available for each Xperience type.

  3. In authoring tool you can:

    • Create new activities

    • Modify or delete existing activities

  4. Once you are done editing your Xperience, select Save in the activity menu

  5. Select Yes to save changes to the Xperience. If the Xperience is saved successfully, you are redirected to the Xperience page

Note

Edit mode is only visible for Xperiences that you have permission to edit, such as Xperiences you’ve created.

Note

AR mode and AR portals requires the EON Merged XR license.

Annotations

  1. Select img-annotations and choose which annotation to edit:

    • img-pencil : Edit the annotation name

    • img-plus : Add new activity to the annotation

    • img-move : Move the annotation to a different location

    • img-bin : Delete the annotation

  2. Update the annotation text and select OK to save, or select CANCEL to discard changes

Audio

  1. Select Audio img-audio activity to edit:

    • Double-tap to edit the activity name

    • img-play : Play the audio

    • img-pencil : Edit the audio

    • img-textospeech: Add text-to-speech

    • img-bin : Delete the audio

  2. Add the desired changes and select SAVE, or select CANCEL to discard changes

Video

  1. Select Video img-video activity to edit:

    • Double-tap to edit the activity name

    • img-play : Play the video

    • img-pencil : Edit the video by updating the YouTube link

    • img-bin : Delete the video

  2. Add the desired changes and select SAVE, or select CANCEL to discard changes

PDF

  1. Select PDF activity to edit:

    • Double-tap to edit the activity name

    • img-pdf : View the PDF

    • img-pencil : Edit or upload a new PDF from your device

    • img-bin : Delete the PDF

  2. Add the desired changes and select SAVE, or select CANCEL to discard changes

Image

  1. Select Image activity to edit:

    • Double-tap to edit the activity name

    • img-image : View the Image

    • img-pencil : Edit the image or upload a new image from your device

    • img-bin : Delete the image

  2. Add the desired changes and select SAVE, or select CANCEL to discard changes

Quiz

  1. Select quiz img-quiz activity to edit:

    • Double-tap to edit the activity name

    • img-pencil : Edit the question and answer

    • Type : Select single answer or multiple answer question type

    • img-timer : Edit the activity time limit

    • img-bin : Delete the activity

  2. Add the desired changes and select DONE, or select CANCEL to discard changes

Identify

  1. Select Identify img-search activity to edit:

    • Double-tap to edit the activity name

    • img-pencil : Edit the activity

    • img-timer : Edit the activity time limit

    • img-bin : Delete the activity

  2. Add the desired changes and select SAVE, or select CANCEL to discard changes

Locate

  1. Select Locate img-locate activity to edit:

    • Double-tap to edit the activity name

    • img-pencil : Edit the activity

    • img-timer : Edit the activity time limit

    • img-bin : Delete the activity

  2. Add the desired changes and select DONE, or select CANCEL to discard changes

Note

The Locate activity is only accessible for 3D Xperiences.

3D Recording and 3D Assessment

  1. Select 3D Recording img-3dRecording activity to edit:

    • Double-tap to edit the activity name

    • img-play : Play the 3D Recording

    • img-pencil : Replace with a new recording

    • img-3dassessment : Enable 3D Assessment

    • img-timer : Edit the activity time limit

    • img-bin : Delete the recording

  2. Add the desired changes and select SAVE, or select CANCEL to discard changes

Note

The 3D Recording and 3D Assessment activities are only accessible for 3D Xperiences.

Note

3D Assessment requires that the 3D Recording includes at least three steps of grabbing action or hierarchy changes.
